Therapy

Our Department currently consists of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Director of Clinical Services), Senior Clinical Psychologist Nurse Therapist, an Associate Psychologist and two Assistant Psychologists.

Psychologists offer a range of interventions both with individuals (1:1 or group therapy) staff teams, and families (family therapy).

Psychologists can help people understand and manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

As a Department we have expertise in working with people across the lifespan, with mental health problems and learning disabilities (including Autism and ASD) and offer treatment in the following areas:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) 
  • Sex offending 
  • Anger/anxiety
  • Emotional problems 
  • Distressed behaviours 
  • Bereavement 
  • Attachment problems 
  • Borderline Personality Disorder 
  • Drug/alcohol problems 
  • Abuse/trauma
